Today was the memorial for Coach Ron Roberts and the community came from far and near to remember a coach I considered ” A Gentle Giant”.  Several hundred people came but more inspiring was seeing all the young people whose life he touched.  They knew he cared about them.  We know that Coach Ron loved his family, his students and his community.  Everyone loved the service being held at the athletic facility.  It was a perfect setting and you could truly imagine Ron practicing there with his OLINE players.  After the memorial all came together to reminisce about the good ol days and the not so ol days.  I asked a couple of the OLINE what the 64 represented and they said it was his number.

Let us always remember that there are no guarantees about tomorrow.  I hope all of our coaches know how much they are loved and respected.

    It was a perfect service.
